St Margaret's Hospice Care
Make a Will Week
Once again, solicitors throughout Somerset are supporting ‘Make A Will Week’ for St Margaret’s Hospice from 12-16th September. It is never too early or too late to plan for the future. A Will gives you the peace of mind and confidence that those who are important to you are provided for, in the way you would wish, after you are gone.
23 organisations operating from 38 offices are waiving their Will-writing fees in return for a donation to St Margaret’s from their clients.
Routh Clarke knows how many local people depend on the care and help of St. Margaret’s Hospice Care, so we didn’t hesitate to pledge our support to this initiative. We know only too well that 70% of the UK’s adult population do not have a Will and this often means their estate is not left in accordance with their wishes, but rather how the law prescribes. We have also witnessed the distress this can cause to families and friends.
The suggested donation to St Margaret’s is £100 for a single Will, £150 for a pair of mirror Wills and £50 for a codicil to update an existing Will.
Corporate Fundraiser, Sadie Eillison said; - “Make a Will Week is a vital fundraiser for St Margaret’s Hospice. As we are not part of the NHS, we need to raise £7.5 million this year to enable us to keep on providing support to patients and their families with life limiting conditions, throughout Somerset.
All of our services are provided free of charge to patients and their families and the majority of our funding comes from people in the local community. We are extremely grateful to all the firms who support our work during Make a Will Week.”
