Will Aid

What Is Will Aid?

Will Aid is a special partnership between the legal profession and nine of the UK’s best-loved charities. Every year, participating solicitors waive their fees for writing basic Wills and ask their clients to make a donation to charity instead.

More About Will Aid

How Much Should Be Donated?

Will Aid suggests a donation of £95 for a basic Will and £150 for a pair of mirror Wills.

Which Charities?

All the money raised goes to nine of the UK’s favourite charities, namely:

Routh Clarke and Will Aid

We are proud to be part of this fantastic initiative and encourage people to take part. At Routh Clarke we think it is vital for each adult to have a Will, so they can choose where their assets are left, rather than the government making the choice for them. That’s why in November each year, under the Will Aid scheme, we do not ‘charge’ for drafting a basic Will, our time is given for free. Once we have completed your basic Will or mirror Wills, we will ask you to make a donation to Will Aid. At the end of November, Will Aid tell us how much we have helped raise for their charities. We think this is a “win-win” situation for everyone.

Why not call us to enquire about this wonderful initiative and to reserve your place on our Will Aid list. In the meantime, see our Seven Step Guide to writing a Will and start filling in your Simple Will Planner. Then when November arrives you’ll be ready to have your Will drafted.
